This is for a Public Relations and Marketing course. We are supposed to do an assignment on a PR product launch for a new product. The word limit for each of the 3 elements mentioned below should be between 550-600 or 1-2 pages each. I have included samples for all three of these parts for reference. The main focus should be on the News Release part and it does not need to be that long like how it is written in the sample. It needs to be clear, tangible and should mention specific details about the product. Anywhere between one to one and a half page is fine for the News Release.
The following are the instructions by the professor:
You are supposed to create PR materials to announce a new breakthrough product of your choosing. You may choose any product of interest to you (i.e. a new phone, lipstick, video game, etc.).
The PR Tool Kit will include the following materials:
1. Competitive PR Analysis (fill in the template provided)
A competitor analysis for two main competitors of the product you have chosen. When filling in the competitor chart, both summarize your points for each column and include a link (to the website, existing news release, or website landing page)
You will be required to write the following PR materials to communicate the importance of the new product launch:
2. Key Messages (3 key messages for the product with supporting points)
3. News Release (target audience here is the journalists)
A News Release that delivers those key messages. (This must be created from scratch. Do not use an existing News Release or paraphrase an existing release)
